Meet Dr. Steven W. Carney

Dr. Steven W. Carney is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon.  He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo for both undergraduate studies (B.A. Spanish Language & Literature, 1999) and Dental School (DDS, 2003). He completed a one-year general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Health Care System in Sacramento, California. Afterwards, Dr. Carney completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Alameda County Medical Center (Highland Hospital) in Oakland, California which is associated with University of the Pacific in San Francisco.

Aside from being a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Carney is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He has served as President of the Middlesex County Dental Society.  He is a member of the Connecticut Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as the Connecticut State & American Dental Associations.  Dr. Carney was selected to serve as a contributing member of the Middlesex County Substance Abuse Action Council (MCSAAC) which provided patients and families with information to help prevent prescription drug and substance abuse.  He also volunteers his time and expertise with charitable organizations such as the Connecticut Mission of Mercy.

Dr. Steve and his wife have a young son.  He enjoys baseball, biking, and reading.
